Requirements for Academic Forgiveness

If approved, up to 16 credit hours of unsuccessful grades over three consecutive terms can be forgiven.

• The grades in question must be more than one year old. 
  • For example, if you received unsuccessful grades in fall 2027, you can apply at the end of fall 2028.
• You must be currently enrolled in college credit classes at Central Piedmont.
• You must have completed at least six credit hours at Central Piedmont with a term GPA of 2.0 or higher within the past 12 months.
• Academic forgiveness can only be granted once.
